Salary:  $17.73/hour
*An extra $26.60/day will be earned when working a split shift on student contact days (max of 173 days)*

Responsible To:  Out of School Time Supervisor/Child Care Specialist

Position Purpose:  Lead program activities, give work direction to paraprofessionals, supervise students in the care program.
Major Job Functions/Specific Tasks/Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:  See website
Qualifications:  Current first aid certification (have or willing to obtain within first 90 days); experience working with elementary aged children.

Benefits of Employment as of July 1, 2019:  Eligible for benefits as negotiated between Student Support Staff (MSEA Association) and District 112.

Background check will be conducted.

Equity Alliance MN Program Manager for Professional Development & Student Programming

A 1.0 Special Education teaching position at Spring Lake Park High School, split 0.5 FTE Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) Teacher and 0.5 FTE Work Based Special Education Teacher, to serve students with a variety of disabilities in grades 9-12.

leading a team of paraprofessionals in meeting students’ needs;
collaborating with principals, special education coordinator and staff, and professional learning communities, to ensure student needs are being met;
maintain student records of services provided, following Due Process best practices and compliance;
acting as a Case Manager for students in your classroom and participate in IEP and evaluation summary meetings;
coordinate work-based learning opportunities and education for students with various disabilities;
enrich instruction through meaningful, real-life experiences at job sites; and
create strong relationships with students, families, and other outside agencies, to support each students.
