Position Overview:

A management assistant/executive assistant to the Student Services/Special Education Department at the District Services Center, reporting to the Director of Student Services and providing administrative support to him and two Student Services Coordinators, as well as the District’s Special Education staff.  The position is year-round, Monday through Friday.

Primary Responsibilities:

Duties of this job include, but are not limited to…

keeping student information for approximately 750 Special Education students up to date, confidential, and in compliance with Due Process law in the Infinite Campus database;
coordinating interviews and completing paperwork for new hires;
coordinating district training events, such as CPI, multiple times a year;
supporting Special Education classroom teachers by completing supply orders and registering staff for professional development;
processing invoices and balancing a purchasing card;
updating Special Education financial information in the Department of Education’s SEDRA database
sending and receiving tuition agreements to other school districts;
assisting in completing and submitting grants and audits to the Department of Education;
collecting data for and submitting reports to the Department of Education, such as restrictive procedures;
providing superb customer service and acting as a resource for students’ families and Spring Lake Park staff;
collecting and processing time sheets, percentage of time worked reports, and mileage reports for approximately 80 Special Education staff members;
acting as the District’s homeschool liaison and registrar, as well as the contact for non-public schools;
keeping information on the district’s website for Student Services/Special Education up to date; and
other administrative duties, as assigned.

Working Conditions:  Assignment is in an office in a fast paced environment with multiple high priorities.

LOCATION:  Park Terrace Elementary School  (job id# 4183)
HOURS: 3 hours; 11-2:00; Days based on the school year calendar
PAY RATE: $13.50 /hourly. Food Manager’s License (current) additional $1.00
DUTY DAYS: 176 Days
START DATE: ASAP

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will perform tasks in designated areas assigned by the manager
Must maintain a friendly and courteous contact with all students
Must attend job-related training classes and workshops in order to meet the professional standards guidelines of 4 hours/year
Will follow Department Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)
Must maintain high standards and working knowledge of food safety and sanitation pursuant to the Minnesota Food Code.

Bldg Assessment/Tech Supp Specialist

Job Summary:
– Respond to Ongoing technology needs for staff
– Build and maintain positive relationships with the building community, including staff and students
– Use a strong understanding of instructional technology to best meet the learning needs of all students
– Manage building printers, including troubleshooting and installing drivers
– SMART board configuration and troubleshooting
– Support set up for event programming such as A/V equipment
– Assist with generating messaging through the Blackboard system
– Work with district technology staff to coordinate building technology requests
– Manage building technology inventory
– Attend relevant district trainings and meetings
– Coordinate and manage laptop/iPad/Chromebook carts
– Provide staff training on technology
– Technology ordering as needed, approved by the principal
– Set up and run daily video announcements
– Coordinate student involvement in announcements
– Assisting teachers in maintaining teacher web pages
– Testing technology coordination

Other functions of the job include but are not limited to:
– Meeting staff needs in a timely and proactive manner
– Join all staff in welcoming and dismissing students each day
– Provide building-level technology support for staff and students.

Primary Responsibilities
Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:

Under the direction of the OST Youth Programs Coordinator and daily guidance of the OST Manager, the Child Care Assistant Teacher assists in supervising daily activities, events, and stations; interacts with children in activities and learning stations; assists in the preparation of the child care location and environment for daily program events, activities, and functions; and enforces program behavioral rules and guidelines.  The Child Care Assistant assists in implementing and monitoring activities to assure the safety of participants and staff, the adherence to program rules and guidelines, and the quality of service.  The Assistant provides leadership over the site in the absence of the Child Care Teacher.
