Description: ISD 191 is a suburban Minneapolis system of 8,900 students comprised of the communities of Burnsville, Eagan, and Savage. The District is seeking a high quality, innovative educational leader for the position of Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment. Essential Job Functions
License / Education Requirements: A minimum of a Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in education. Fifth year college/university program certificate or administrative license. Master’s Degree, Specialist Certificate or Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, Instruction/Educational, or Educational Leadership/ Administration preferred. Current valid Driver’s license.
Job Responsibilities: Provides leadership and builds culturally proficient systems to support staff, schools, and the district in increasing capacity to deliver appropriate curriculum, instruction, and assessment that allows all students to reach proficiency, meet or exceed expected growth each year, graduate from high school, and eliminate predictability in achievement through practices of educational equity. Leads both the design and implementation of the district’s comprehensive instructional programs aligned with the district operational plan and in compliance with state and federal standards and requirements and the Culturally Proficient School Systems Team. Actively supports district planning and improvement processes. Assists all staff in providing a culturally inclusive and welcoming environment.
