Reading Teacher (Teacher on Special Assignment – .2 FTE)

Edina Public Schools has a (.2 FTE) Reading teaching position available at Edina Public Schools beginning August 12, 2019.  The schedule for this position will be an 8 hour work day, 1 day per week (Monday, Tuesday or Friday) and will report to the building principal and intervention coordinator.

Job responsibilities:

Assist struggling students to improve their literacy skills through weekly reading groups
Collaborate with ELA teachers to promote the learning and implementation of best practices in reading instruction
Support school-wide efforts to improve reading instruction and proficiency
Create and examine data to measure the growth of students in reading groups
