Special Education Paraprofessional

The Special Education Paraprofessional will be developed, supported, and guided by the School Assistant Director and Special Education Coordinator. The Special Education Paraprofessional’s major responsibilities are:

 

·         Working with student or small groups of students to reinforce learning of skills introduced by teachers

·         Assisting the teacher/s in devising strategies for reinforcing skills based on sympathetic

·         Understand of students’ needs, interest and abilities

·         Guiding independent study, enrichment work and remedial work set up and assigned by the teachers

·         Assisting and supervision student(s) to and from bus and in the building as needed

·         Carrying out behavior management techniques necessary to maintain classroom order

·         Other duties as assigned

Job Summary: The Director of Communications and Community Relations provides leadership and direction for all district-wide external and internal communication.  The Director ensures excellence in all publications; internal and external communications; public relations; customer service and marketing efforts.  The Director provides leadership and guidance and support to the Board of Education, superintendent, and district staff in the development of key communications that promote, highlight and raise awareness about the district and building activities, events and department initiatives.

Education/Certification Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, marketing, education or related field/ Master’s degree preferred
Experience Requirements:

Five years job-related experience in public relations or marketing
Experience in public education preferred
