Program Information:

This position will work with early childhood students and their families in our birth to age 3 program, primarily going into students’ homes to service students.  The clinician will also service students in our Discovery Days daycare program, located at our District Services Center, where this position is officed.

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will provide excellent instruction and case management skills to students with speech/language and other types of disabilities.  This includes:

  • providing direct instruction to students;
  • providing consultation to school staff and parents;
  • working collaboratively with school staff and family homes, while managing all aspects of due process procedures and mandates.

  • implement and maintain school programs and services for students with disabilities;
  • assess students’ developmental, cognitive and social needs and provides developmentally appropriate instruction to meet those needs;
  • act as a liaison between the students, family, community, and the school;
  • work effectively with an interdisciplinary team and have the ability to work independently;
  • work with school staff to provide academic and behavior support to classroom teachers;
  • case manage and maintain appropriate due process files;
  • participate in and provide information for team meetings related to school programs and student services;
  • use technology skills to organize and deliver school programs and student services;
  • meet the District’s standards for employee performance and attendance;
  • participate in staff development/professional growth activities relevant to position, responsibilities and school improvement plans; and
  • perform related duties as assigned/requested.

Responsibilities:

Prequalify calls for help as a technical issue.
Use remote control of workstations when possible to solve simple issues.
Create and assign help desk tickets to proper functional queue with applicable priority.
Help with issues within capability (maximum 5-20 minute call length)
Forward unresolved issues to Supervision.
Cross-train on other Technology Lead or Specialist duties as needed.
Assist in deployment of new technology equipment.
Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor to accomplish the objectives and goals of the department.
