Required Qualifications:
1. Current MN License in ABS or ASD;
2. Extensive experience in working with multi-categorical groups and case management;
3. Excellent collaboration skills and communication skills;
4. Experience with Positive Behavioral Intervention Systems, Crisis Prevention Intervention training, conducting Functional Behavior Assessments, and writing Behavior Intervention Plans;
(If lacking this experience, full training within one year is required.)
5. Knowledge of due process in the areas of evaluation and educational planning;
6. Ability to perform job duties with or without accommodations.
Desired Qualifications:
1. Highly qualified per NCLB in Language Arts, Reading, and/or Math;
2. Computer and data management proficiency.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *Carry out all responsibilities associated with elementary immersion Art specialist teaching assignment.
*Conduct Art instruction in Spanish.
*Interweave Hispanic cultures into instruction throughout the school year.
*Infuse multi-cultural education and concepts into the Art curriculum on a continual basis.
*Develop IBPYP curriculum materials and instructional strategies for elementary students as a part of a school-wide team.
*Communicate closely and encourage parental involvement regarding Art curriculum goals.
*Create a safe classroom environment.
*Collaborate with school-wide team members (classroom teachers, director and PYP coordinator) regarding program implementation.
*Maintain knowledge of current and emerging trends, procedures and evaluation processes in immersion programs.
*Participate in weekly program planning and staff development activities.
*Participate in all training programs required for immersion and the International Baccalaureate Organization Primary Years Programme.
