Position Description:

Candidates selected to fill the role of Spanish Teacher for Wayzata Public Schools will be given the great responsibility of continuing our long standing commitment to academic excellence and foster new ways for students to learn the Spanish language and culture.  This will be done through the design and delivery of instruction that ensures the success of a diverse population of learners. In addition, you will be responsible for building positive relationships and working collaboratively with students, parents, and staff members to foster a positive experience for the entire learning community.

Qualifications:Must have a valid MN teaching license.
Ideal candidate will have previous elementary level teaching experience.
Ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Spanish culture, lanague and literacy.
Ideal candidates should also have experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated strategies that support diverse learners.
Must have strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
Must have the ability to build positive working relationships with students, parents and staff.
Must have the ability to calmly and effectively deal with a variety of unexpected circumstances.
Must be proficient with current technology used to support student learning, connectivity, communication, academics, and student progress monitoring.
Must be able to produce, analyze and respond to relevant data about student learning.

District Snapshot:
