The Program Manager serves as a leader informing and influencing systemic
change to develop culturally responsive systems through teaching, leading, and organizational policies
and practices. Researches and brokers effective approaches and programs aligned to the districts’
Achievement and Integration and World’s Best Workforce goals and/or the clients’ strategic plans.
Develop, coordinate, and provide professional learning in alignment with Equity Alliance MN’s goals.
Oversees all professional development to ensure alignment of content and message. Plan, organize,
and/or facilitate professional learning that develops clients’ skills in self-reflection regarding race and
culture, culturally responsive pedagogy, culturally relevant curriculum and inclusive environments that
lead to equitable systems. Manages culturally responsive programs, services, and projects to improve
organizational performance in racial equity and to close achievement and opportunity gaps. Identifies
the source of gaps in outcomes, selects proven solutions to fill the gaps, creates new solutions, integrates
the solutions into Equity Alliance MN’s portfolio, and implements the solutions.
Responsibilities:

● Demonstrate vision for racially conscious, culturally responsive school environments and systems
● Assess key demographic areas for business opportunities and determine potential client needs.
● Visit clients’ work locations and conduct interviews with key personnel to identify specific needs.
● Develop new business and expand program and service portfolio.
● Provide research to clients on equity, integration, and attainment within cultural groups. Research
and identify effective approaches and programs aligned to clients’ identified needs.
● Conduct needs assessments with clients to determine organizational needs.
● Broker professional learning opportunities which are substantive, data-driven, culturally responsive,
and aligned with the needs of the clients.
● Work collaboratively with clients to develop, source, and/or provide organizational site-based
professional learning.
● Network with partners organizations to align professional learning activities
● Identify performance metrics which measure the impact of programs and interventions to assess the
effectiveness of Equity Alliance MN services and programs.
● Increase clients’ awareness of racial and equity issues through culturally responsive training.
● Develop and provide marketing and publicity for programs and services.
● Design and deliver quality culturally responsive programs, services, and initiatives with a focus on
anti-bias, educational equity, and/or social justice. Select or develop culturally relevant training
materials
● Ensure that all programs and services are designed to improve student experiences and outcomes.
● Implement quality protocols and metrics for each program, service, or initiative.
● Create initiatives that help our clients achieve racial equity and close predictable gaps.
Recruit, hire, develop, and manage culturally responsive contractors and /or staff for the programs
and services.
● Design and deliver professional development for staff and clients, including presentations at
professional conferences.
● Create online information sharing resources and professional development offerings
● Maintain records of professional development; provide participation and effectiveness reports as
needed, including Board presentations
● Assist districts with determining and writing professional development portions of Achievement and
Integration plans.
● Monitor the Equity Alliance MN professional development library ensuring access to member
districts
● Coordinate PIQE district network providing support to participating districts
● Negotiate contracts and contractual changes; coordinate preparation of proposals, plans,
specifications, and financial details of contracts.
● Collaborate with Office Manager and Executive Director to achieve financial objectives by
scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
● Allocate and oversee organizational resources as they relate to individual programs, services, and
initiatives; create and manage budgets
● Collect and use data to inform decisions.
● Synthesize and communicate program data with stakeholders.
● Identify, research, and author grants for programs and initiatives.
● Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing
professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.
● Contributes to the team effort by performing other duties, as assigned.
