Create and teach Ojibwemowin curriculum for the classroom assignment. Develop an appropriate plan of operation for the classroom. Manage the classroom in a manner that assures instruction and learning. Work with the staff in developing new programs for use in the classroom and the school. Perform tasks that are inherent to that of a teacher. Provides a variety of instructional methods to assure that all students receive instruction that is compatible to learning styles. Provides feedback to the principal when necessary so that normal operations are assured. Develop culturally appropriate curriculum. Prepare students for the performance assessments appropriate for each grade level. Provide weekly lesson plans to the Building Principal that incorporates the Minnesota State Standards. Actively advocate and demonstrate appropriate adult child interactions. Maintain a professional relationship with all staff and community members. Maintains professional standards toward creating confidential relationships with all program participants and staff. Establish and maintain an attractive, safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate environment for the children.
