This is a full-time Itinerant 182 day contracted position. Candidates must be eligible for special education or a related service license in Minnesota. Masters Degree, advanced training in working with challenging and difficult behaviors experience and 3 to 5 years’ experience preferred.

The Ulen-Hitterdal Public Schools’ main office is located in Ulen, Minnesota. The school district has an approximate enrollment of 300 kindergarten through grade twelve students.

LEADERSHIP PROFILE: The Ulen-Hitterdal Public Schools School Board seeks a superintendent who:
- Acts with honesty and in an ethical manner with the School Board, staff, and community
- Has experience in school finance
- Is a “people person” with proven abilities in human relations and communications
- Is visible and accessible to the School Board, staff, students, parents, and community
- Delegates authority while maintaining accountability
- Previous superintendent experience is preferred, but not required
SALARY/CONTRACT: The current superintendent’s base salary for the 2021-2022 school year is $75,000 (.6 FTE). The final salary and benefits package will be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications. The contract length is negotiable as provided in Minnesota statute.

Position Details
Start Date: July 1, 2022
Contract: The Executive Director serves as an independent contractor to the Association. Hours will ebb and flow over the course of the year based on opportunities to carry out the responsibilities of the position, averaging approximately 1000 per year.
