South Central
Special Education Teacher (ASD) – Secondary

Special Education Teacher (ABS/EBD) – Secondary

Director of Teaching and Learning
DIRECTOR OF TEACHING AND LEARNING
A full-time assignment as Director of Teaching and Learning is available with Mankato Area Public Schools beginning with the 2020-21 school year.
The Director provides leadership in the implementation of the district strategic roadmap and success system for continuous improvement; provides collaborative leadership in implementation of RTI; provides guidance and direction in the design and delivery of educational programs; supervises and evaluates principals and other administrators as assigned, counselors, district mentors, and program coordinators in Title I, ELL, Talent Development, Professional Development, Literacy, Assessment, Career and Technical Education and approves/oversees respective budgets; responsible for Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) improvement planning and implementation; oversees all curricular processes.
Requires Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or other related field, and MN licensure as K-12 teacher. Administrative licensure (principal and/or superintendent) preferred.

School Counselor, High School
Position Summary:
The Counselor shall be an integral part of the total instructional program directed toward the growth and development of all students who come from diverse, cultural, economic and ability backgrounds. Assist students with academic planning, personal goal setting, family systems/change and crisis intervention. The Counselor shall also strive to provide a positive atmosphere in which students are encouraged and assisted to develop feelings of acceptance, self-respect, emotional security, and achievement.
Qualifications:
Valid Minnesota Guidance & Counseling or School Counselor licensure. Bachelor’s degree with coursework in School Guidance Counseling, or related field and moderate experience. Master’s degree preferred.
