Qualifications:
Valid MN Elementary Teaching license. Demonstrated use of 21st Century strategies and approaches to ensure all learners achieve the highest levels. Candidate will have a solid background in equity, believing and ensuring all students learn at high levels. Experience in balanced literacy, co-teaching, and utilizing an integrated approach to instruction across all content areas and a background in STEAM and Everyday Math beneficial. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.  Bi-lingual skills in Spanish or Somali desired.

School Psychologist

Participate in initial and/or re-evaluations for determination of special education services for students birth to age 21 in conjunction with ISD 761 Assessment Team. Provide consultation and indirect services to educational staff, teachers, administrators, students and parents. Participate on Problem Solving Teams as part of the District’s MTSS review. Mankato Area Public Schools has a  position available for a Chemical Health Counselor beginning with the  2019-20 school year.  Application deadline:  June 17, 2019.

Job Summary:  Works with the building administration and the counseling office to meet the social, emotional, behavioral health of students who demonstrate areas of need or exposure to chemical use or dependency.  Through individual and group counseling services and outside services and supports, develops alternative solutions to support informed decision making in order for student learning to continue in a safe educational environment.  See attached job description.

Qualifications:  BA or BS in related field
Completion of approved chemical dependency training program including LADC certification preferred
Valid Minnesota driver’s license
Prior experience preferred
