Summary of Duties:
The K-12 Literacy Coordinator provides leadership that ensures district wide development and implementation of required literacy programs, curriculum, and training. This position will:Coordinate district process to develop and implement required K-3 literacy plan for Read Well by 3rd grade by collaborating with MDE and appropriate District 77 coordinators
Collaborate to meet Read Well data submission requirements annually
Support the implementation and analysis of PRESS interventions K-5
Support data analysis related to interventions
Monitor process for reviewing existing and adopting new interventions
Lead implementation of ADSIS for reading at the district level, collaborate with other district leaders to complete annual data submissions
Facilitate the process to align the core curriculum with new ELA standards
Lead the selection and implementation of materials that meet the needs of our diverse populations
Support the implementation of the RtI/MTSS
Support DIBELS Next implementation and data analysis
Analyze and interpret literacy data to make program recommendations
Collaborate with Instructional Support to align instruction, assessment, and continuous improvement
Qualifications: Valid MN teaching license
5+ years as a full-time teacher
Masters degree required
Reading license preferred
Experience in leading professional development for staff
Experience leading processes at the district level
Experience managing or working within a budget
Demonstrated effectiveness planning and providing professional development

English/Language Arts Teacher
Position Summary:
This position is the sole language arts position at the ALC. The teacher is responsible for teaching English 9, English 10, English 11 and English 12. The teacher is also responsible for monitoring the progress of students who choose to pursue their credit through Odysseyware online curriculum. A strong background in reading strategies is desired. The applicant should be adept at differentiation of content and instruction in order to include student voice and choice. A strong sense of equity and the ability to build relationships is essential.
