Activities Director – West High School

ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR – WEST HIGH SCHOOL

The Mankato Area School District is seeking an Activities Director for West High School beginning July 1, 2019. The Activities Director is responsible for leading, planning, implementing and facilitating activities and events for Mankato West High School including athletics, fine arts and clubs.  This position leads the selection, supervision, evaluation and professional development of coaches and advisors.  Also works with others in the management and oversight of facility and equipment and provides oversight of homecoming festivities at Mankato West High School.   Application deadline: May 13, 2019.

License as K-12 Principal or willingness to acquire preferred.  Candidate must have strong communication skills, a desire to work with others, an understanding of the educational process and the ability to motivate and inspire others around the district strategic road map.

The contract year is 12 months and includes paid holidays and vacation.  A competitive compensation package is available.

Early Childhood Parent Educator

Position Summary:
The Early Childhood Parent Educator delivers parent and family education learning experiences to parents of children ages 0-5.  This position support parents of toddlers and preschoolers. The primary learning environment is a faciliated, small group discussion. The Educator presents weekly lessons designed to address identified needs of program participants and developmentally appropriate best practices within the Parent Ed Core Curriculum Framework & Indicators. This position coordinates lessons with an Early Childhood Educator to meet Minnesota Early Childhood Indicators of Progress.

Early Childhood Family Education Educator

Position Summary:
Owatonna’s Early Childhood Family Education Program (ECFE) is seeking an early childhood educator to provide high quality early learning through delivery of evidence-based curriculum, instruction and assessment.  This position has responsibilities to present weekly lessons designed to address identified needs of children using developmentally appropriate best practices within the MN/Owatonna Early Childhood Indicators of Progress. This position supports families, colleagues, and community partners with experiences and information designed to promote healthy parent/child interaction and child and family development. This position delivers early childhood learning experiences to children ages 0-48 months and their families. The primary learning environment is small groups of age-specific children with their parents. This assignment also includes 3 sections of a three-year-old-preschool class. This assignment includes two evenings per week from 5:15PM-7:00PM, and one Saturday morning per month.  ECFE classes meet from September 9, 2019 through May 15, 2020 for a total of 30-weeks of programming. Director of Special Services

Position Summary:
The Director of Special Services performs complex professional and administrative work planning, directing and supervising the development and implementation of a total instructional program for special education students, Section 504, and students receiving other related service including designated state and federal programs, ensuring the compliance of the program with local, state and federal regulations. Work involves setting policies and goals under the direction of the Superintendent. Departmental supervision is exercised over all personnel within the department.

Position Requirements:  
The Director of Special Services must demonstrate accomplished leadership skills, excellent organizational skills, highly developed communications skills, and successful supervision and management experience with multiple programs.  Director of Special Education Administrative Licensure is required. Minimum of two years of successful administrative experience is preferred.

Licensed School Psychologist
