Elementary Teacher – Grades 1-4 (1.0 FTE)

 

Description:   

Elementary teaching assignment at Jefferson Elementary School, New Ulm MN

 

Qualifications:

Qualified applicants are required to possess a MN Teaching License in Elementary  Education. Preferred qualifications are to have experience in balanced literacy instruction and Responsive Classroom.

 

Start Date:  

2018-19 School Year (August 2018)

 

Wage/Benefits:

Dependent on experience; per Master Teacher Agreement. Benefit package available.

Participates as a team member in the planning and implementation of academic/treatment programs (when applicable) for individual students and their families. This includes consultation with school personnel, parents, and appropriate agencies regarding possible intervention strategies for students. Serves as IEP manager for students assigned to the Level 3 Program. This includes completion of all necessary due process forms and adherence to due process timelines and other requirements. Provides academic instruction, social skills training, assessment, and behavioral intervention consistent with each student’s IEP and due process procedures. Participates as part of the team in determining appropriateness of placement of pupils within the level 3 program.
