Position Available: TEACHER- SPECIAL EDUCATION (ASD and/or EBD) 1.0 FTE Location: Washington Learning Center, an early learning Pre-k and Kindergarten center; New Ulm, Minnesota Description/Requirements: Special Education Teacher License required with a desired emphasis in EBD and ASD. Teacher will work with Kindergarten students. Desired Skills: 1. Experience with behavior intervention and management strategies. 2. Experience with social skills instruction and interventions. 3. Experience with play-based learning. 4. Knowledgeable in multi tiered systems of support. 5. Ability to organize and carry out individualized programs for children with ASD. 6. Ability to work collaboratively with a team to collect and analyze data. 7. Ability to communicate with parents and colleagues. 8. Ability to train and guide paraprofessionals. Openings 2017-18 Graduate Teaching Fellowships Minnesota State University, Mankato Openings are available for the Graduate Teaching Fellow Program (classroom experience while working on a masters degree program in Education). Applicants must have a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Teaching degree. Seniors in a teacher education program who will complete all requirements for a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Teaching degree, complete all required testing, and obtain appropriate Minnesota teacher licensure by August, 2017, or recent teacher education graduates (who have not held regular teaching appointments) are eligible to apply.
