Adult Career Pathways Program Specialist

Mankato Area Public Schools has a position open for a full-time Adult Career Pathways Program Specialist beginning July 1, 2024.
Summary of Duties:
Under the direction of the ABE Coordinator, the ABE Adult Career Pathways Program Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of Bridge and Integrated programming in the Advanced Manufacturing programs at our South Central College North Mankato site. In addition, the position serves as a link between ABE at Lincoln Community Center and the South Central College site.
Qualifications:
- Minnesota Teaching License in any area K-12
- Ability to effectively teach applied math concepts to adult learners in the industry areas of Welding, Machining, Automotive and HVAC
- Willingness to learn and earn OSHA 10 Safety certification as well as Machining and Welding concepts and skills necessary to effectively perform classroom and lab teaching assistance at South Central College
- Ability to teach and/or mentor students as they develop the following skills: professional (soft) skills, computer basics, study habits, basic math, organization and planning

- Experience and commitment to working as a team
- Must pass background study as required by MN school districts
