Health Science Careers Teacher (part-time 0.417 FTEs) East/West High Schools A part-time (0.417 FTEs) position as a Health Science Careers Teacher is available at East/West High Schools beginning with the 2016-17 school year. Summary of duties: Teaching includes Intro to Health Occupations, Disease & Disorder and Emergency Care. Teacher will deliver instruction to senior high students that is designed to develop students’ understanding of health care systems, medical communication, ethics, and safety issues for patients and providers. Qualifications: Medical Careers license and Work Based Learning Certification, or willingness to obtain. Prefer candidates with background in health related field. CPR and First Aid Trainer certification, or willingness to obtain, also required.
