Educational Assistant in W.O.R.K. Program
The Educational Assistant assists the W.O.R.K. (World of Responsible Kids) classroom teacher in providing an appropriate education to students within the River Bend Program.
Teacher – River Bend Area Learning Center
The Teacher develops lesson plans, conducts classroom instruction, evaluates and assesses both instructional material and student performance. Monitors student behavior and performance. Communicates with parents via parent-teacher conferences as necessary. Collaborates with other Program staff in evaluating individual student problems. Attend IEP meeting as assigned by the ALC Coordinator/Principal.
Reading Teachers, K-3 – Elementary Sites
K-3 Reading Teachers Mankato Area Public Schools has positions available for K-3 Reading Teachers for the 2016-17 school year. Teacher will be responsible for implementing intervention programs with students working on specific, targeted literacy skills.Important to this position will be the ongoing assessment of students who are receiving the additional literacy intervention as well as continuous collaboration with classroom teachers, special education staff, EL and the Literacy Coordinator. Special Education Coordinator
River Bend Education District in New Ulm, Minnesota has an opening for two Special Education Coordinators. The coordinators will assist the Director and member district administration in the development, maintenance and coordination of programs and services to learners with disabilities. Provide consultation and technical assistance to special education staff, building procedures, eligibility criteria, program options. etc. Upon request of the Director, will serve as his/her representative at pupil staffings and at local, regional and state meetings in committing special education resources to necessary projects/activities. Assists the Director in recruitment of River Bend staff. Implements, coordinates and oversees the Continuous Improvement Monitoring Process (CIMP), and the ability to train, monitor, and support MDE approved Due Process Procedures consistent with state and federal rules.
Teacher of the Physically Impaired
Provides diagnostic assessment, identifies needs and assists in program planning for students with physical impairments and those requiring assistive technology; consults with school personnel regarding planning, implementing and evaluating interventions; and provides in-service training regarding physical impairment; Physically Impaired (PI), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Other Health Disabilities (OHD) and Assistive Technology (AT) devices and services.
