Mankato Area Public Schools is seeking a full-time dedicated and qualified individual to join our team as the Assistant Director of Nutrition Services. With a student population of approximately 8000 across K-12 schools, our district is committed to providing nutritious meals that support the health and well-being of our students. This is a non-affiliated position, eligible for category III benefits

 

Summary of Duties:
The Assistant Director of Nutrition Services will assist in the coordination of all USDA Nutrition programs and services for the Mankato Area Public Schools with a focus on menu planning, food production and purchasing.  Other areas of responsibilities are student wellness, nutrition planning, nutrition education, and serving on the school wellness team.

Qualifications Required:

Post Secondary degree, Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Service Management, or a related field.
Previous experience in School Nutrition or similar food service environment.
Strong skills in public speaking and presentations to a wide range of audiences
Organizational and coordinating skills related to program planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide variety of population groups.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Experience within a school system and knowledge of USDA school meal programs preferred.
Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.

Qualifications Preferred:
Licensed as a Registered Dietitian

$75,000 – $80,000

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL EDUCATION

Mankato Area Public Schools has a position available for an Assistant Director of Special Education beginning July 1, 2024.  This is a full-time, 12-month position.

Summary of Duties:
Assist in providing leadership in planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the District’s special education programs and services. Serve as the site supervisor in locations where there is not an onsite principal. Evaluate the performance of licensed and non-licensed personnel. In the absence of or when directed by the Director of Special Education and Student Issues, assumes the special education director role and responsibilities.

Qualifications Required: A Masters degree in Special Education Instruction or related special education field.
A valid Minnesota Director of Special Education license
Minimum of three (3) years of teaching or supervisory experience
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

$116,200 – 119,100

Mankato Area Public Schools has a position available for a Student Support Services Supervisor beginning July 1,2024.  This is a full-time, 12-month position.

Summary of Duties:
The Supervisor will assist the Student Support Services Department in a variety of tasks that support the daily functioning of the department such as, but not limited to, ESY, PLCs, due process, assessments, curriculum, serving as district representative at IEP meetings and mentoring/coaching.

Qualifications Required:
Director of Special Education License or currently and/or willing to enter in a program working towards licensure.

This is a Non-affiliated position with Category III benefits.

Salary:
$94,400 – 96,800

Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial (LCWM) Public Schools is seeking a Superintendent as of July 1,
2024. Candidates must possess licensure as a Superintendent in the State of Minnesota or demonstrate
their ability to secure licensure by July 1, 2024. Previous experience as a superintendent is preferred but
not required.

The LCWM School’s Office is located in Lake Crystal, Minnesota approximately 15 miles west of
Mankato and near Minnesota State Highway 60. The Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial School District
serves the communities of Lake Crystal, Butternut, Vernon Center, Rapidan, Judson and Garden City. It
serves approximately 950 students in Pre K-12th grade programs.
