The certified SpEd teacher works with parents, administration, general education teachers, interventionists as well as the SpEd Team to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs designed to support the growth of students with special needs. This educator will also develop lesson plans, provide classroom instruction, conduct evaluations, and assessments, weekly progress monitoring, and prepare all required reports. The special education teacher interprets student progress and routinely communicates with parents, the intervention team, and IEP team. Takes responsibility for the learning of our students and his/her own performance.

Position Summary:
The Special Education Teacher must have the ability to develop appropriate assessment plans, knowledge of special education due process and the ability to effectively consult with classroom teachers, parents and administration. Must have knowledge of pre-referral interventions in reading, math and behavior, identify student strength and needs and develop an assessment plan to determine student eligibility for special education. The Work-Based Learning Instructor will be responsible for creating and implementing effective work-based learning programs that provide students with practical experiences and skills necessary for successful employment in their chosen career fields.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement work-based learning programs that align with the school’s career pathways and prepare students for employment in their chosen fields. Coordinate with local businesses and industry partners to create and facilitate meaningful work-based learning experiences for students.
Provide instruction and guidance to students on workplace behavior, communication skills, and other soft skills necessary for success in the workplace.
Collaborate with teachers and school administrators to integrate work-based learning into the academic curriculum.
Evaluate student performance in work-based learning experiences and provide feedback for improvement.
Ensure that all work-based learning programs comply with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, or a related field.
