Online English/Language Arts Teacher (SY 2023-24)

Position Summary:
Ensure high levels of student learning through engaging, high quality virtual teaching. Educator is innovative and serves as a facilitator to students’ learning.  Educator will collaborate with colleagues, families, and all stakeholders to provide support virtually for students enrolled in the districts online school, Owatonna Online.  Educator is able to build strong partnerships with adults supporting student learning, and responsive to student needs academically, socially, and emotionally. Educator will be a learner, problem solver, and engage in on-site professional development.

Qualifications:
Valid MN English/Language Arts Teaching license is required.

An Ideal candidate will have a solid background in equity, technology, and ensuring all students learn at high levels. Bi-lingual skills in Spanish or Somali desired. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.

Online 5-12 Life Science Teacher (SY 2023-24)

Physical Education/Health/Adapted Teacher; with or without DAPE; Coaching available and desirable.

This position would include but not limited to classroom instruction in physical education, health, and adapted physical education. The certified teacher delivers education classes are centered around wellness topics and activities designed to promote students physical and emotional health and well-being. Students explore various topics that promote a healthy sense of self and a positive approach to fitness, nutrition, and healthy habits.

General Responsibilities
The teacher is a member of an interdisciplinary team and works collaboratively with colleagues to make decisions about team programming and supporting students through intervention and enrichment.
