HR Staffing and Recruitment Specialist

Job Duties :

  • Build and maintain a close working relationship with management and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills
  • Oversees and conducts recruitment for teaching, paraprofessional, custodial, food service, and administrative positions.
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts including external agencies to help identify and source qualified candidates
  • Disseminate hiring information to administration and management teams to assimilate new employees
  • Participate in job fairs and develop a relationship with colleges and universities to develop current and future talent flow
  • Assist the business office/district office with HR support as required
  • Administer and review onboarding and orientation materials for new employees as well as existing employees in new roles
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate internal programs to increase retention rate and employee engagement

Elementary English Language Learner Teacher – SY 2023-2024

Position Summary:
Provide high quality instruction to identified students and serve as a collaborative member of our English Language Learner (EL) Team. Position follows a co-teaching/pull-out model, with EL Teacher collaborating with general education classroom teacher, working in collaboration to meet students’ needs in the area of literacy, math, and social-emotional learning.

Qualifications:
Valid Minnesota Teaching License. Valid ELL/EL/ESL Minnesota Teaching License. Consistent and reliable attendance.

Bachelor’s degree with coursework in Education, certificate and/or experience in the area of reading intervention education preferred, or related field and moderate experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Valid Minnesota Teaching License. Valid ELL/EL/ESL Minnesota Teaching License. Ideal candidate will have a strong equity background, believing and ensuring all kids learn at high levels. A strong demonstrated use of 21st Century learning strategies and approaches to ensure all learners achieve the highest levels. A strong background in literacy and language is preferred with in depth understanding and application of language acquisition and WIDA Standards.

Bi-lingual skills in Spanish or Somali desired.

Director of Special Education

Position Summary:
The Director of Special Services performs complex professional and administrative work planning, directing and supervising the development, implementation and operation of an effective, total instructional program for students who receive special education services, Section 504, and students receiving other related service including designated state and federal programs, ensuring the compliance of the program with local, state and federal regulations. Work involves setting policies and goals under the direction of the Superintendent.  Departmental supervision is exercised over all personnel within the department.

Position Requirements: 
The Director of Special Services must demonstrate accomplished leadership skills, excellent organizational skills, highly developed communications skills, and successful supervision and management experience with multiple programs. Director of Special Education Administrative Licensure is required. Minimum of two years of successful administrative experience is preferred.

The certified SpEd teacher works with parents and regular education teachers to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs designed to support the growth of special education students.  The teacher also develops lesson plans, conducts classroom instruction, evaluates, and assesses both instructional material and student performance. The special education teacher interprets student progress and routinely communicates with parents and the IEP team to share student progress toward their goals, as well as strengths, weaknesses, and/or programs.
