Special Education Teacher – K12 Evaluation Team

Position Summary:
The Special Education Teacher must have the ability to develop appropriate assessment plans, knowledge of special education due process and the ability to effectively consult with classroom teachers, parents and administration. Must have knowledge of pre-referral interventions in reading, math and behavior, identify student strength and needs and develop an assessment plan to determine student eligibility for special education. Must be able to work collaboratively in promoting positive and healthy interpersonal relationships and complete due process paperwork in the allowable timelines.

Qualifications:
Valid MN Special Education Teaching license required. Previous experience working with a variety of special needs desired. Consistent and reliable attendance.

School Social Worker – Secondary

Responsibilities:
The School Social Worker will work closely with the teachers in creating programming, and behavior intervention plans for social/emotional learning and provide day-to-day student support either individually or in group settings.

Required:
MN licensure as a School Social Worker is required.

Mankato Area Public School is seeking applicants for a full-time (1.00 FTEs) Work-Based Learning Teacher at East & West High Schools beginning August 21, 2023, for the 2023-24 school year.

Summary of Duties:
Mankato Area Public Schools is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Work-Based Learning Instructor to join our high school team. The Work-Based Learning Instructor will be responsible for creating and implementing effective work-based learning programs that provide students with practical experiences and skills necessary for successful employment in their chosen career fields.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement work-based learning programs that align with the school’s career pathways and prepare students for employment in their chosen fields. Coordinate with local businesses and industry partners to create and facilitate meaningful work-based learning experiences for students.
Provide instruction and guidance to students on workplace behavior, communication skills, and other soft skills necessary for success in the workplace.
Collaborate with teachers and school administrators to integrate work-based learning into the academic curriculum.
Evaluate student performance in work-based learning experiences and provide feedback for improvement.
Ensure that all work-based learning programs comply with state and federal regulations.

 

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in work-based learning or a related field.
Knowledge of current industry trends and practices in work-based learning.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Must pass a background check and have a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications Preferred:

A valid MN license in Teacher/Coordinator Work Based Learning, CTE, or eligible for an Out of Field Placement.

Art Teacher

The High School Art Teacher will serve as a student-centered educator who is a learner and warm demander for all learners. Special Education Teacher – Elementary

Position Summary:
The Teacher is a stand-alone classification.  Performs difficult professional work providing a broad range of teaching and direct instructional services or specific learning programs within District curriculum guidelines, assisting students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed as a foundation for future learning in accordance with each student’s ability, using a variety of teaching and learning methods at various levels to a targeted audience, and related work as apparent or assigned.  Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Building Principal.  Continuous oversight is exercised over paraprofessionals.

Qualifications:
A valid Special Education teaching license issued by the Minnesota Department of Education (consideration of all Special Education categories). Consistent and reliable attendance is required.

Middle School Principal

The Middle School Principal is the building instructional leader and administers the building instructional and co-curricular program; maintains an effective educational program consistent with state and federal guidelines and the philosophy, policies and goals of the School Board; supervises the building staff; coordinates student services; maintains records and files, and prepares reports; directs the management of the MS budget and materials; works cooperatively with district communications staff; coordinates the site leadership team; and related work as apparent or assigned.  Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Superintendent.

Position Requirements:
Successful junior high/middle or upper elementary level teaching and administrative experience. Experience in a variety of educational settings, demonstrated effectiveness working with children and families from diverse backgrounds. Licensure as required by the State of MN for School Administrators.
