Elementary Music Teacher

Position Summary:

Valid MN Elementary Teaching license. Bi-lingual skills in Spanish or Somali desired. Demonstrated use of 21st Century strategies and approaches to ensure all learners achieve the highest levels. Positive behavior intervention and supports. Experience in utilizing an inquiry approach to instruction across all content areas and a background in STEM and integration of Literacy and Numeracy beneficial.

Industrial Technology Teacher

Elementary Special Services Supervisor

Position Summary: 
The Elementary Special Services Supervisor is responsible to promote the educational development of students with special learning needs; and under the direction of the Director of Special Services to share in the duties and responsibilities of providing leadership to special education programs and services, supervision of instruction, evaluation of special education certified staff and paraprofessionals, special services contracts, and public relations.

Position Requirements:
The Supervisor must possess and demonstrate excellent leadership interpersonal and organizational skills, highly developed written and oral communication skills, successful experience working with individuals and groups, demonstrated ability in problem-solving and conflict resolution, and collaborative approaches with stakeholders.  A valid MN Director of Special Education license is required, with a minimum of five years of successful teaching experience; three or more years of teaching experience with special education students/programs preferred.

Student Support Services Coordinator

The Mankato Area School district has an opening for a Student Support Services Coordinator. This is a full-time, 8 hours per day/5 days per week, 12-month non-affiliated position.

Job Summary:
The coordinator will assist the student support services department in a variety of tasks that support the daily functioning of the department such as, but not limited to, ESY, PLCs, due process, assessments, curriculum, serving as district representative at IEP meetings, and mentoring/coaching. This is a non-affiliate position.

Qualifications:
Certification: Director of Special Education or currently in a program working towards licensure.

Other Information:
Non-affiliated, Classification C53 with Category III benefits.

Principal of Alternative Learning Center Programs

Description:
The Principal of Alternative Learning Center Programs is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Owatonna ALC, including regular day program, independent study, night program, summer credit recovery and targeted services; develops and implements student discipline policies and procedures; schedules; reviews credits for graduation; supervises and evaluates ALC staff. Additionally, the Principal of Alternative Learning Center Programs provides overall leadership and support to Grades 9-12 Owatonna Online in Owatonna Public Schools. This position designs and implements a long range strategy for our online learning program including course selection and design, online teaching and learning, academic support, recruitment and policies and procedures. Oversees the daily operation of 9-12 online instruction and provides ongoing leadership and support.

Position Requirements:
Degree in educational administration, educational leadership or closely related field; a valid Minnesota K-12 administrative license required .  Five+ years of successful teaching experience.  Three+ years experience working with underserved student populations or commonly marginalized youth.
