Position Summary:
The McKinley 4th Grade Teacher will serve as a student-centered educator who is a learner and warm demander for all learners. Teacher will establish collaborative & impactful relationships with colleagues, families, and students. Teacher will understand and model best instructional practices, serve as a member of a Professional Learning Community, and ensure high levels of student learning. Candidate must have a learner, inclusionary, and equity-focused mindset and see that their presence has an impact with students and our school environment.
Qualifications:
-Valid MN Elementary Teaching license.

-Commitment and belief around ensuring all students learn at high levels.
-Demonstrated use of research based instructional and engagement strategies to meet the continuum of individual learning needs while using data and assessments to guide instructional decisions.
-Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents and students to achieve student learning results.
-Bi-lingual skills in Spanish or Somali desired.

SALARY/CONTRACT: A comprehensive compensation package will be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications. The contract length is negotiable as provided in Minnesota statute.

Position Summary:
This position serves as a School Social Worker position at the Owatonna Middle School. This position supports students through IEPs and students in the general population in the areas of social/emotional support. This position works closely with community resources, connecting families to outside resources they may need. The Social Worker will provide 1:1 support along with some small group work. Strong communication skills with individuals, families, and outside agencies is imperative in this role. The Social Worker must be able to offer supports to students and families or find the resources needed.

Position Summary:
This position serves as the primary social/emotional support of the REACH program that serves selected students in grades 6-8. This particular position will serve sixth and seventh grade sections and will run the first two periods of the day. REACH stands for Responsibility-Education–Academics-Character-Hard Work. Class sizes are small (10-13 per section) and are supported by a full-time teacher and a counselor/social worker. Students work on goal setting in their personal and academic lives as well as personal growth. Their motto is: This is your life we are talking about. Nothing is more important. A background in understanding ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences) and/or working with students who have experienced trauma or need additional emotional support would be beneficial.

Long Term Substitute – August 22, 2022 – November 4, 2022
Position Summary:
This Special Education Teacher, Long Term Substitute, position is at the Owatonna High School. The position supports students within the learning center environment, as well as in general education classes and coursework. Students on the caseload have cross-categorical qualification, federal setting 1 and 2. The substitute will be supported in learning the systems required to promote student success. The focus of student learning is on engagement and success in coursework aligned to their chosen Career Pathway.
Qualifications:
Valid MN Special Education Teaching license. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
