The ideal candidate will have experience working in all areas of communication disorders:  fluency, articulation, language (including pragrmatics/social communication targeted for students with ASD) and voice. Experience with students who have AAC needs is optimal.

 

The SLP will work in a large collaborative team of special educators to implement strategies and cross disciplinary service.

 

Qualifications:                       • Licensed as an educational speech/language pathologist through the MN Department of Education (PELSB0

• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency (or eligible)
• Pediatric or school-based experience
• Experience with special education due process requirements/IEPs and

evaluations

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) works under the direct supervision of the Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides student specific occupational therapy services as determined be IEP and IFSP teams.
  • Deliver occupational therapy services according to frequency and duration listed on IEP’s and IFSP’s.
  • Supports staff to effectively use assistive technology to facilitate student success.
  • Assists the OTR in the development of the learner’s IEP goals and objectives.
  • Gathers data to document progress on goals and objectives.
  • Participate in the IEP and the IFSP process by attending individual student meetings.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

English Language Learner Collaboration Specialist

Provide high quality instruction to identified students and serve as a collaborative member of our English Language Learner (EL) Team.  Position follows a co-teaching model, with EL Teacher collaborating with general education classroom teacher, working in collaboration to meet students’ needs in the area of Math, Science, Social Studies, or English Langauge Arts. This position will focus on equity and inclusion best practices to continue to grow career pathways for protected class students.

 

Qualifications:
Valid Minnesota Teaching License. Valid ELL/EL/ESL Minnesota Teaching License. Consistent and reliable attendance.Bachelor’s degree with coursework in Education, certificate and/or experience in the area of reading intervention education preferred, or related field and moderate experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Valid Minnesota Teaching License. Valid ELL/EL/ESL Minnesota Teaching License. Ideal candidate will have a strong equity background, believing and ensuring all kids learn at high levels.  A strong demonstrated use of 21st Century learning strategies and approaches to ensure all learners achieve the highest levels. A strong background in literacy and language is preferred with in depth understanding and application of language acquisition and WIDA Standards.  Bi-lingual skills in Spanish or Somali desired.
