Mankato Area Public Schools is seeking a Middle School Principal beginning July 1, 2022.

Summary:
Middle School serves grades 6 through 8 and has a current enrollment of approximately 900-1,000 students.  Mankato Area Public Schools is a growing, diverse, and innovative school district committed to the success of all students. The Principal will be a collaborative instructional leader supporting staff, students, and families.

Requirements:
MN Licensure as a K-12 Principal is required.

Level 4 Special Education Teacher

Under the direction of the Program Coordinator, the Licensed Special Education Teacher develops and provides specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities; evaluates and assesses student progress against instructional objectives and functions as the IEP Manager to assigned students.

Transitions Teacher

Teacher of a Transition Program serving full-time students and part-time students completing a work readiness program. Responsible for the coordination of transition activities.

School Psychologist

by

School psychologists within River Bend Education District are employed for the purpose of enhancing the educational and social emotional development of students. School Psychologists consult with staff members to plan intervention strategies and provide assessment/reassessment evaluation through appropriate testing and diagnostic practices in the areas of intellectual, cognitive, functional, academic, and behavioral domains of child and adolescent development (birth through 22).

This position provides the opportunity to work within a psych team allowing for common planning, weekly psych meetings, and support from other school psychologists within the education district.

Elementary Music Teacher (School Year 2022-2023)

Elementary School Principal

Position Summary:
The principal needs to be a leader who will support the delivery and administration of District educational programs with the initial assignment to a 500 K-5 student elementary school with wonderful diversity.  The principal’s responsibilities include assisting teachers in strengthening their knowledge base and core instructional skills; developing a safe and welcoming environment where all individuals are respected and to ensure that such practices support continued outstanding student achievement in a K-5 setting. The principal must provide leadership to carry out the district’s strategic plan.  The principal must encourage parent involvement.  The principal must also work with all staff and administrators to instill in our youth the community’s core values.

Desired Education & Qualifications:
A qualified candidate must hold a valid K-12 Minnesota Administrative credential; Master’s degree with emphasis in educational leadership, organizational leadership, or curriculum and instruction or comparable is preferred.  Must have demonstrated success as a leader in an elementary school.Proven record of collaborative leadership with a commitment to school improvement initiatives.  Strong educational background modeling use of instructional technology.  Must demonstrate successful experience in working with diverse populations and the ability to communicate with individuals of varied cultural and educational backgrounds.  Evidence of excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing and ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community.  Demonstrated management of fiscal resources.  Evidence of commitment to working in a team environment.
