Elementary School Principal

Position Summary:
The principal needs to be a leader who will support the delivery and administration of District educational programs with the initial assignment to a 600 K-5 student elementary school with wonderful diversity.  The principal’s responsibilities include assisting teachers in strengthening their knowledge base and core instructional skills; developing a safe and welcoming environment where all individuals are respected and to ensure that such practices support continued outstanding student achievement in a K-5 setting. The principal must provide leadership to carry out the district’s strategic plan.  The principal must encourage parent involvement.  The principal must also work with all staff and administrators to instill in our youth the community’s core values.

Elementary Second Grade Teacher

To serve as a collaborative team member on a 2nd grade team.  Educator will ensure high levels of learning for every learner, every day.

Qualifications:
-Valid MN Elementary Teaching license.
-Commitment and belief around ensuring all students learn at high levels.
-Demonstrated use of research based instructional and engagement strategies to meet the continuum of individual learning needs.
-Ability to use data and assessments to guide instructional decisions.
-Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents and students to achieve student learning results.
-Bi-lingual skills in Spanish or Somali desired.

School Counselor

Position Summary:   One year temporary position – .6 FTE
The School Counselor promotes and enhances the overall academic mission by providing services that strengthen home/school/community partnerships and alleviate barriers to learning.  The School Counselor significantly contributes to the development of a health, safe and caring environment by advancing the understanding of the emotional and social development of children and the influences of family, community and cultural differences on student success and by implementing effective intervention strategies.  The School Counselor will be a part of each school’s student assistance team.

 

Elementary Art Teacher (School Year 2022-2022)

Provide high quality art instruction to students, build effective relationships with students, staff, and families, as well as serve as a collaborative member of our McKinley Elementary and the art team.

Qualifications:
Valid MN Art Teaching license.  Candidate will have a solid background in equity, believing and ensuring all students learn at high levels. Experience in utilizing an integrated approach to instruction across all content areas and a background in STEAM beneficial.  Strong technology and creativity skills preferred.  Consistent and reliable attendance is required.  Bi-lingual skills in Spanish or Somali desired.

Elementary Music Teacher K-5 (School Year 2021-2022)
