Position Summary:
The Counselor shall be an integral part of the total instructional program directed toward the growth and development of all students who come from diverse, cultural, economic and ability backgrounds.  Assist students with personal goal setting, family systems/change and crisis intervention.  The Counselor shall also strive to provide a positive atmosphere in which students are encouraged and assisted to develop feelings of acceptance, self-respect, emotional security, and achievement.

Qualifications:
Valid Minnesota Guidance & Counseling or School Counselor licensure. Bachelor’s degree with coursework in School Guidance Counseling, or related field and moderate experience.  Master’s degree preferred.

Reading and Intervention Teacher, Part-time 0.70 FTEs

Bridges Community School

A position is available for a part-time (0.70 FTE) Reading and/or Mathematics Intervention Teacher at Bridges Community School for the 2020-21 school year. Teacher will be responsible for implementing intervention programs with students working on specific, targeted literacy and math skills.  Important to this position will be the ongoing assessment of students who are receiving the additional literacy intervention as well as continuous collaboration with classroom teachers, special education staff, EL and the Mentor Coach.  A valid Minnesota elementary teaching license is required.

REACH Program Teacher

Position Summary:
This position serves as the primary teacher of the REACH program that serves selected students in grades 6-8–two sections in each grade.  REACH stands for Responsibility-Education–Academics-Character-Hard Work. Class sizes are small (10-13 per section) and are supported by a full-time School Social Worker. Students work on goal setting in their personal and academic lives as well as personal growth. Their motto is: This is your life we are talking about. Nothing is more important. A background in understanding ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences) and/or working with students who have experienced trauma or need additional emotional support would be beneficial.

Qualifications:
Valid MN 6-12  teaching license required.
Commitment to an equitable education experience for all.
Demonstrated understanding of cultural competence.
Consistent and reliable attendance.
