Superintendent

The Nicollet Public School District is seeking a half-time Superintendent as of July 1, 2020. Candidates must possess licensure as a Superintendent in the State of Minnesota or demonstrate their ability to secure licensure by July 1, 2020. Previous experience as a superintendent is preferred but not required.

Nicollet Public Schools Office is located in Nicollet, Minnesota approximately 12 miles west of Mankato on US. Highway 14. The school district serves approximately 380 students from Pre-K through grade 12. The students are served at one school site in Nicollet.

The St. James Public Schools’ main office is in St. James, Minnesota. The school district has an approximate enrollment of 1,043 pre-kindergarten through grade twelve students.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The St. James School Board seeks an experienced school administrator who: has experience in school finance; delegates authority while maintaining accountability; has a record of visibility and is accessible to the School Board, staff, students, parents, and community; has knowledge of and experience with equity leadership challenges and opportunities, special education, and a diverse student body; a “people person” with proven abilities in human relations and communications and who acts with honesty and in an ethical manner. Previous superintendent experience is preferred, but not required.

SALARY/BENEFITS:
A competitive compensation and benefits package, including an annual salary in the range of $120,000 to $135,000, will be negotiated based upon the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications. The contract length is negotiable as provided in Minnesota statutes.

Special Education Teacher-Evaluation Team – Behavior (2020-2021 School Year)

Position Summary: 
The Special Education Teacher must have the ability to develop appropriate evaluation plans, knowledge of trauma informed practices, comprehensive behavior support programs, special education due process and the ability to effectively consult with classroom teachers, parents and administration. Must have knowledge of pre-referral interventions in academics and emotional/behavioral regulation, student strengths and needs and the development of an evaluation plan to determine student eligibility for special education. Must be able to work collaboratively in promoting positive and healthy interpersonal relationships and complete due process paperwork in the allowable timelines.
