Job Description: 1.0 FTE EL Teacher – We are looking for someone to work as part of our EL Middle School team to provide differentiated support for our diverse group of English Learners and perform the possible duties outlined below.  This position commences with the 2022-23 school year on August 22, 2022.

Job Duties:

-Teach a self-contained EL language development classes in reading and writing tied to a specific EL curriculum
-Run small group pull out intervention services focused on content vocabulary and comprehension in various content areas such as science and social studies.
-Co-teach at least one hour in math focusing on basic math skills.
-Manage the dual identified EL/SPED caseload

Leadership responsibilities:

Supervise staff to include: prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations, ensuring staff are trained, ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures, and maintain a health and safe working environment; and making hiring, termination and disciplinary recommendations.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school and prioritizes the needs and maintenance of the School.

Coordinate activities of the school through various committees, teams and external stakeholders.

Administer and monitor the Secondary School budget including allocating resources and approving expenditures.

Implement School objectives and goals as directed by the Board and Superintendent.

Oversee and coordinate the student disciplinary process which includes attendance, trades, chemical violations, in-school suspensions, suspensions and expulsions.

Facilitate meetings to develop and discuss Secondary School programs, curriculums, budgets, staffing and other matters related to the overall performance and day-to-day operations of Secondary School.

Develop and impliment career pathways.

Perform other duties of similar nature and level.

Faribault Public Schools is a rural Pre-K through Adult School District located about 50 miles south of the Twin-Cities. The school district currently serves approximately 3,700 students in Faribault and our surrounding areas within our community of 23,000 citizens within the city limits. Job Description: A 1.0 FTE Early Childhood teacher position for Falcon’s Nest Preschool, a Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten site at Roosevelt Early Childhood Center.  Qualified candidates will offer a developmentally appropriate learning environment, with the focus on cognitive, social/emotional, language, literacy, and physical/motor development of students.  This teacher will also work with a classroom paraprofessional to create a warm welcoming environment for parents and children. The position is 5 days a week from 7:30AM-3:30PM. This position commences with the 2022-23 school year.  Falcon’s Nest Preschool is a part of the Minnesota Centers of Excellence Pyramid Model Innovation Grant.  Applicants with knowledge and experience in a multi-tiered system of support for young learners are preferred.
