Position Information:

  • The Coordinator of Special Services—Early Childhood Special Education is responsible for overseeing and assuring the due process procedures of the District are being adhered to by Early Childhood staff.  Duties include serving as a resource regarding program requirements and questions; initial evaluations of all early childhood-referred students as appropriate, supervising ECSE special services paraprofessionals;  ECSE special services  staff development training; curriculum leadership; MARSS reporting; and collaborate with Early Childhood Coordinator.

Position Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid Minnesota Director of Special Education administrative license
  • Must hold a valid Teaching license in Early Childhood Special Education

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Five+ years of successful teaching experience, with a minimum of three years of experience working with special education students/programs preferred.  Must have strong knowledge of instructional strategies, curriculum and best practices to support student growth.

Caledonia Area Public School District has a van driver para position available beginning the 2022-2023 school year.  The hours will be approximately 7.25 hours per day on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and 6.75 hours on Wednesdays.  Hours may fluctuate based on addresses of students needing to be transported.  A two-year Associates Degree, 60 college credits or a passing score on the State of Minnesota Competency exam is required.
