Faribault Public Schools is a rural Pre-K through Adult School District located about 50 miles south of the Twin-Cities. Middle School Assistant Principal
Essential Functions: The Assistant Principal assists the Principal in managing the school’s educational and instructional programs, operations, and personnel to ensure the educational, emotional, social, and physical needs of all students. The candidate selected for this position works with the principal and other support personnel to build positive relationships with students, staff and community members; while collaborating and communicating effectively to facilitate meaningful relationships, and provide innovative leadership through our educational offerings. Faribault Public Schools expects our team members to uphold equitable and inclusive practices for all students. This position is 220 days per year, beginning on 7/1/22. In addition this administrator will assist and/or lead with the following duties:
Development of building policies and procedures dealing with behavior management, and parent/student/teacher issues.
Development of the building of the Master Schedule, determining assignment of teachers, students and locations.
Supervision & coordination of registration procedures.
Coordination and monitoring of student databases, attendance procedures and records.
Foster middle school achievement through coordination and supervision of student personnel services to ensure student’s educational needs are met.
Coordination & monitoring grade reporting procedures and maintenance of student records.
Resolve operational problems of the school in the absence of the Principal.
Integral member of the district leadership team serving on district and community committees.
Facilitate Problem Solving Team.
Supervision of paraprofessionals.
Perform related duties as apparent or assigned.
Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating instructional programs and activities at the assigned school.
Supervises school personnel for the purpose of monitoring performance, providing for professional growth and achieving overall objectives of the school’s curriculum.

Job Description: 1.0 FTE EL Teacher – We are looking for someone to work as part of our EL Middle School team to provide differentiated support for our diverse group of English Learners and perform the possible duties outlined below. This position commences with the 2022-23 school year on August 22, 2022.
Job Duties:
-Teach a self-contained EL language development classes in reading and writing tied to a specific EL curriculum
-Run small group pull out intervention services focused on content vocabulary and comprehension in various content areas such as science and social studies.
-Co-teach at least one hour in math focusing on basic math skills.
-Manage the dual identified EL/SPED caseload
