Elementary Teacher – Third Grade
Essential Functions: A full-time (1.0 FTE) Third Grade Teacher at Lincoln Elementary School. Performs professional work providing a broad range of teaching services within our elementary school, assisting students to develop skills, attitudes and learning methods at various levels to a targeted audience.

Hiawatha Valley Education District (HVED) provides special education services to 13 School Districts and 2 Charter Schools within five counties of southeast Minnesota: Fillmore, Houston, Olmsted, Wabasha, and Winona. Title: Long Term Sub-Early Childhood Special Education (Birth-to-2) Teacher 5/17/21-8/6/21
Position: Hiawatha Valley Education District (HVED) is seeking a Long Term Substitute Early Childhood Special Education (Birth-to-2) Teacher to serve Birth-to-2 children and their families in Southeast Minnesota. This position primarily will serve Caledonia, Lewiston-Altura, Mabel-Canton, and Spring Grove.
Essential Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
Serve as case manager for children with disabilities, consult with parents, school personnel and others, and provide direct instruction and/or coordinate related services to identified children and families
Provide instruction and/or consultation in related services (occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech/language) as necessary
Develop Individual Family Service Plans (IFSP’s)
Perform all other duties and responsibilities in certification areas as directed by the supervisor.
Competencies:Must be able to work in team decision-making situations
Must communicate effectively with students, families, educators, and administrators regarding student programs and progress.
Must possess ability to problem-solve.
Must possess ability to lead teams and coordinate with others.
Travel Requirements: Travel will occur between birth-3 family homes and/or daycare centers.
Qualifications:
Minnesota licensure as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher
Must have a valid driver’s license
Experience as a B-3 and/or ECSE 3-5 Teacher preferred
Experience in coordinating early childhood services for children with disabilities and their families preferred
Experience with public health and social service organizations preferred
Experience working in a school or education setting is preferred but not required
Working Conditions:
Office, lifting, sitting, standing, pushing, pulling, keyboarding, etc.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.

EL Teacher/EL Language Arts Teacher – High School
Job Description: 1.0 FTE EL Teacher at Faribault High School. This position will teach a few self-contained EL language development classes in reading, writing and grammar. They will also be expected to assist upper level EL students with vocabulary development in content areas such as social studies and science. This position commences with the 2021-22 School Year immediately upon hire.
Early Childhood Teacher – Faribault Education Center
Job Description: A part-time Early Childhood teacher position for Falcon’s Nest Preschool at Faribault Education Center. Qualified candidates will offer a developmentally appropriate learning environment, with the focus on cognitive, social/emotional, language, literacy, and physical/motor development of students. This teacher will also work with a classroom paraprofessional to create a warm welcoming environment for parents and children. The position is 2 days a week from 12:40 PM – 3:20 PM. This position commences with the 2021-2022 school year on September 13, 2021. Falcon’s Nest Preschool is a part of the Minnesota Centers of Excellence Pyramid Model Innovation Grant. Applicants with knowledge and experience in a multi-tiered system of support for young learners are preferred.
