General Definition of Work: Faribault Public Schools is seeking a qualified individual to build relationships within the community to bridge access to early learning programming and connect families with children ages zero to five to screening and essential services. The outreach professional will create and execute a robust outreach plan to support cradle to career data collection, early childhood screening efforts, and Help Me Grow outreach. Building internal relationships and community partnerships is a critical component to this role as our district seeks to support families, students, and staff in equitable, student-centered learning.

Build a kindergarten enrollment and transition plan for all incoming kindergarten students.
Work closely with the EC coordinator, contracted data professional, and elementary principals to support students in ready for K plans and read well by grade 3 initiatives, as well as enrollment and transition planning.
Be proactive in sharing our district’s equity commitment and examples of relevant equity work to support all learners.
Collaborate with family literacy specialists to support early childhood and elementary family engagement throughout the district.
Participate in home visits and work with school social workers, early childhood navigators, and other community programs to gain perspective and outreach into our families and their needs.
Support early childhood staff, students, and families to collect data, connect, and promote district strategies.

The Student Success Coordinator will coordinate PreK-12 services that ensure high-quality, equitable education for all students, specifically students who are traditionally underrepresented and underserved in traditional educational settings. The Coordinator will also support the design and delivery of a K-12 academic multi-tiered system of support, including coordination of tiered intervention and enrichment opportunities to ensure student growth and success.
Essential Functions
-Provide coordination, guidance, professional development, and support for district programming including intervention, talent development, and multilingual services.
-Provide coaching and support to address barriers to learning through data analysis and utilize evidence based practices to ensure success for all students.
-Provide training and support to administrators, teachers, and leadership teams to facilitate implementation of tiered intervention and enrichment opportunities at the district and school level.
-Facilitate professional learning and support co- teaching at the district and school level.
-Coordinate and support intervention programs and services to ensure services meet the needs of all district students who may benefit from intervention services.
-Coordinate and support multilingual programs and services including student assessment and placement and instructional program development to ensure services meet the needs of all district students who may benefit from multilingual services.
-Coordinate and support development of advanced academic programming that supports student success for underrepresented and underserved students.
-Review demographic data trends to determine if programming and support are effective and collaborate with colleagues to address barriers to learning including cultural and socioeconomic barriers.
-Facility district equity team and serve on other district teams as needed.
-Increases connection, engagement, and support of our families and community and ensures multilingual interpretation and translation is available for staff, students, and parents when needed.
-Coordinate and support Family and Community Engagement Specialist model to bridge school and family/community engagement, in order to engage more families within our school community.
-Prepare and submit appropriate program and state reports consistent with district/state and grant requirements.
-Serve as the representative for the Office of Indian Education and support the development, implementation, and evaluation of the program.
