These positions work with the school and families promoting a positive learning environment for general and special education students; screen and identify students through consultation with parents, staff and community agency personnel including collection and evaluating appropriate student records and developing and implementing interventions to allow students to be successful; write and present social work assessment summaries and recommendations for educational planning and social work services; maintain and facilitate the transition of students between schools or programs; serve as a resource to building staff regarding identifying and reporting child abuse and neglect. RATE OF PAY: $14.25 – $19.25 per hour. Benefits package available.
QUALIFICATIONS:Must meet highly qualified criteria: Associates Degree or higher degree, or meets Minnesota Certified ParaPro Assessment
Certified in Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Intervention (training provided)
Experience working with students with behavioral needs
Experience and skills in instructional role, use of technology, and interpersonal communications
Ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and/or parents verbally and in writing
