Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)

Hiawatha Valley Education District (HVED) provides special education services to 13 School Districts and 2 Charter Schools within five counties of southeast Minnesota: Fillmore, Houston, Olmsted, Wabasha, and Winona. HVED also has two (2) Setting IV Behavior Programs, Students Achieving Integrated Services (SAIL), that provide programming for students in grades K-12 with challenging behaviors currently receiving special education services. The SAIL programs are located in Kellogg (SAIL) and Hokah (SAIL II, opening in September 2020).  Along with the SAIL programs, HVED provides programming for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (SPECTRUM). Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
Location: Any member district location, student’s home, or childcare setting.

Position:
HVED is seeking a talented Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA). This position is full-time during the 9-month School Year.  If determined necessary, summer school programming may be available.  Serving the birth to three population, the SLPA’s professional calendar may be extended over the twelve-month calendar.

Orchestra Teacher (1.0 FTE) Middle School

Job Description:  A Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Orchestra teacher at Faribault Middle School teaching 6th, 7th and 8th grade.  Responsibilities include middle school orchestra and lessons.  The qualified candidate should have experience starting beginning orchestra students, demonstrated success working with elementary and middle school aged students, proficiency on string instruments, maintains instrument inventory, and communicates well with students, parents, teachers, and administration.  This position commences with the 2020-2021 school year on August 24, 2020.

District Technician Level 1

Job Description:    Responsible for installing and maintaining good operating conditions of building workstations, telephones, classroom equipment and mobile devices including Chromebook and iPad. Provide staff development and tutorials related to various district supported software and hardware.  Support staff and students with all technology related needs. Complete work orders and other duties as assigned by District Technology Coordinator.

This position is full-time, 8 hours per day, 260 days per year position and begins immediately upon hire.
