One Act Play Director
Lewiston Altura is seeking a director for the one-act competition that takes place at the end of January. Duties include: Picking a one act play (no longer than 35 min), completing paperwork for the competition, creating a set with students, running rehearsals with students 5 days a week (about an hour per rehearsal), and attending the competitions at the end of January with them (Saturdays). There is a minimum of three performances (two competitive, one local public performance), with a potential of two more competitions and the opportunity to go to state. A paid assistant director will also help you reach these goals. Rehearsals run December 1st thru the end of competition (usually the end of January). Essential Functions: The Assistant Principal assists the Principal in managing the school’s educational and instructional programs, operations, and personnel to ensure the educational, emotional, social, and physical needs of all students. In addition they assist with the following duties:Development of building policies and procedures dealing with behavior management, and parent/student/teacher issues.
Development of the building of the Master Schedule, determining assignment of teachers, students and locations.
Supervision & coordination of registration procedures.
Coordination and monitoring of student database, attendance procedures and records.
Foster middle school achievement through coordination and supervision of student personnel services to ensure student’s educational needs are met.
Coordination & monitoring grade reporting procedures and maintenance of student records.
Resolve operational problems of the school in the absence of the Principal.
Integral member of the district leadership team serving on district and community committees.
Facilitate Child Study Team.
Supervision of paraprofessionals.
Perform related duties as apparent or assigned.
Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating instructional programs and activities at the assigned school.
Supervises school personnel for the purpose of monitoring performance, providing for professional growth and achieving overall objectives of school’s curriculum.
Assists in curriculum development and instructional leadership to meet the needs of all students
Knowledge and experience with data analysis to guide teachers in classroom practice and instructional strategies
