Early Childhood Teacher (1.0 FTE) – Roosevelt Elementary School

Job Description: A 1.0 FTE Early Childhood teacher position for Falcon’s Nest Preschool, a Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten site at Roosevelt Elementary School.  Qualified candidates will offer a developmentally appropriate learning environment, with the focus on cognitive, social/emotional, language, literacy, and physical/motor development of students.  This teacher will also work with a classroom paraprofessional to create a warm welcoming environment for parents and children. The position is 5 days a week from 7:30AM-3:30PM. This position commences with the 2020-21 school year.  Falcon’s Nest Preschool is a part of the Minnesota Centers of Excellence Pyramid Model Innovation Grant.  Applicants with knowledge and experience in a multi-tiered system of support for young learners are preferred.

Faribault Public Schools is a rural Pre-K through Adult School District located about 50 miles south of the Twin-Cities. The school district currently serves approximately 3,700 students in Faribault and our surrounding areas within our community of 23,000 citizens within the city limits. District sites include one early childhood center, three elementary schools K-5, one middle school 6-8, one high school 9-12, one area learning center 9-12 and one education center for adult education.

Custodian, K12, Full-time (1.0) – Lewiston-Altura Public Schools

Duties include cleaning and other custodial duties, assist in set-up of facilities for athletic/fine art/school programming events, maintenance of high school facility, grounds keeping, etc. High School education required. Special Class Engineer Boiler License must be obtained within first year of employment. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly. Day hours vary depending on the season and need of the district. Social Studies Teacher

P-TECH 535 Secondary Assistant Principal

P-TECH 535 is the first Minnesota version of a pioneering school model aimed at preparing young people with the academic, technical, and professional skills required for 21st Century Jobs and ongoing education.  P-TECH 535 represents the best of what public-private partnerships can look like, with students taking high school and college coursework simultaneously and engaging in industry-guided workforce development.  P-TECH 535 spans grades 9-14 and enables students to earn both a high school diploma and a no-cost, two year postsecondary degree or industry credential.  Students participate in a range of workplace experiences, including mentorship, worksite visits, and paid internships.  Upon graduation, students have the academic and professional skills required to either continue their education in a four-year postsecondary institution or secure employment into entry-level careers in one of our two pathways; Information Technology and Licensed Practical Nursing.  While P-TECH 535 encompasses six years, students are able to move at their own pace, enabling some to accelerate through the model in as little as four years.  P-TECH serves students from primarily underserved backgrounds, with no testing or grade requirements.

The P-TECH 535 School Leader is the linchpin of the planning year (2020-2021).  S/he helps all parties build a strong, shared vision for staff, students, and families.  Because the aim of P-TECH 535 is to help students move seamlessly from high school to college to career, the school leader must be familiar with the culture, expectations, and norms of all three environments.

Long-term Substitute Intermediate Special Education Teacher

Lewiston – Altura Intermediate School has a long-term substitute opening for a 5th – 6th grade special education position. The leave is anticipated to begin on March 30 and continue for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year. Applicants who hold a Minnesota teaching license in Elementary Education may apply.
