Lewiston-Altura School District has an opening for a full-time 7-12 grade math teacher at the high school for the 2019-2020 school year. The 7-12 math position will be under the Education Minnesota Lewiston-Altura master agreement under supervision of the high school principal. The school day runs from 8:00 until 3:00 and teacher day begins at 7:30 and runs until 3:15. Job Summary: This position develops lesson plans, conducts classroom instructions, evaluates and assesses both instructional material and student performance in courses from seventh grade through Calculus. The incumbent meets with parents, interprets student progress, and informs parents about student strengths, weaknesses, and or programs. This is one of three positions in the high school math department.
Required Skills/Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in an education field
Minnesota 5-12 Mathematics licensure
Preferred Skills/Qualifications
Ability to communicate in Spanish to district families
