Lewiston Altura is seeking a director for the one-act competition that takes place at the end of January. Duties include: Picking a one act play (no longer than 35 min), completing paperwork for the competition, creating a set with students, running rehearsals with students 5 days a week (about an hour per rehearsal), and attending the competitions at the end of January with them (Saturdays). There is a minimum of three performances (two competitive, one local public performance), with a potential of two more competitions and the opportunity to go to state. A paid assistant director will also help you reach these goals. Rehearsals run December 1st thru the end of competition (usually the end of January). Assist in providing the directions for the Professional Development Partership (PDS) with Minnesota State, Mankato and to assume dual roles that include responsibilites within the Faribault Public Schools and responsibilities within the University Community. Work closely with the FPS and University faculty to communicate goals, align resources and assist in guaranteeing the effectiveness of each teacher candidate placement. Consult, collaborate and coach general education teachers. Collaborate with teachers to modify curriculum as required. Coordinate and implement appropriate interventions for RtI Reading; review intervention data. Monitor student progress with team members. Use data to assist with revisions of interventions, assist with making decisions regarding future instuctional strategies and in setting new goals.
