Position:
Hiawatha Valley Education District (HVED) is seeking an Early Childhood Special Education (Birth-to-2) Teacher to serve Birth-to-2 children and their families in Southeast Minnesota. This position primarily will serve one or more of the following regions: Caledonia, Houston, LaCrescent-Hokah, and/or Rushford-Peterson. However, HVED is open to fulfilling other regions within Southeast Minnesota to best fit the needs of Birth-to-2 families and HVED employees. Region assignments are based on a combination of geographic location, caseloads and family needs, as well as team and employee preferences.
Essential Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
Serve as case manager for children with disabilities, consult with parents, school personnel and others, and provide direct instruction and/or coordinate related services to identified children and families
Provide instruction and/or consultation in related services (occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech/language) as necessary
Develop Individual Family Service Plans (IFSP’s)
Perform all other duties and responsibilities in certification areas as directed by the supervisor.

Chemistry/Physical Science Teacher 1.0 FTE – Faribault High School
Full-time (1.0 FTE) Chemistry/Physical Science teacher at Faribault High School commencing with the 2019-2020 school year on August 26, 2019. This teaching assignment will include both Chemistry and Physical Science.
Full-time (1.0 FTE) Kindergarten Teacher
One full-time (1.0 FTE) Kindergarten Teacher at Roosevelt Elementary School. This position will commence with the 2019-20 school year on August 26, 2019.
Reading and Math Intervention Teacher, K – 4, Full-time (1.0) – Lewiston-Altura Public Schools
Lewiston – Altura Schools is accepting applications for a reading / math intervention teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. This full time position will focus on delivering reading and math intervention instruction to students in grades K-4. A valid PK-6 Minnesota Teaching License is required. Early Childhood Teacher (1.0 FTE) – Jefferson Elementary School
Job Description: A 1.0 FTE Early Childhood teacher position for Falcon’s Nest Preschool, a Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten site at Jefferson Elementary School. Qualified candidates will offer a developmentally appropriate learning environment, with the focus on cognitive, social/emotional, language, literacy, and physical/motor development of students. This teacher will also work with a classroom paraprofessional to create a warm welcoming environment for parents and children. The position is 5 days a week from 7:30AM-3:30PM. This position commences with the 2019-20 school year on August 26, 2019. Falcon’s Nest Preschool is a part of the Minnesota Centers of Excellence Pyramid Model Innovation Grant. Applicants with knowledge and experience in a multi-tiered system of support for young learners are preferred.
