- An average of 6 college courses offered in the school each year allowing students to acquire over 20 college credits per year, without leaving Caledonia.
Activities
- Student athletes perform at an extraordinary level with regular trips to the state tournaments.
- Robotics, Lego League, and engineering opportunities are provided for students at all levels. Robotics team qualified for the world championship last school year.
- Award-winning Agriculture and FFA programs that regularly compete at the state and national level.

- Comprehensive art programs that include a yearly musical, one-act play, concert band, marching band, jazz band, pep band, and jazz choir.
Communities Served: Caledonia Area Public School District covers 240 square miles, borders the Mississippi River and the Iowa border in the beautiful, historic southeastern bluff country of Minnesota. The District serves the communities of Brownsville, Caledonia, Eitzen and Freeburg. The area has a diverse, service and agricultural economy, and a strong heritage. The community highly values education and has a growing population.
Student Population: Approximately 685 students ECSU-K-12 with a slightly growing student population.
District Budget: $11 million ($8.5 million general fund budget) with $885K unreserved fund balance. The district voters recently renewed an operating referendum at a level of $760 per pupil with a 76% positive vote for 5 years.
