EL TEACHER 1.0 FTE
We are looking for someone to work as part of our EL Middle School team to provide differentiated support for our diverse group of English Learners and perform the possible duties outlined below. This position commences with the 2018-19 school year on August 27, 2018.
Job Duties:
Teach a self-contained EL language development classes in reading and writing tied to a specific EL curriculum
Run small group pull out intervention services focused on content vocabulary and comprehension in various content areas such as science and social studies.
Co-teach at least one hour in math focusing on basic math skills.
Manage the dual identified EL/SPED caseload
Intervention Teacher 1.0 FTE Long-term Substitute – Lincoln Elementary
Long-term Substitute 1.0 FTE Intervention Teacher at Lincoln Elementary. This position commences with the 2018-19 school year on August 27, 2018 until approximately January, 2019.
Essential Functions:
Develops and implements classroom-based, developmentally appropriate interventions for our students in the area of reading and math based upon data.
Serve as a member of the RtI team and work collaboratively with the RtI team to implement strategies, complete paperwork and/or interventions for Reading and Math.
Coordinate and implement appropriate interventions for RtI Reading and Math.
Monitor student progress by examining and disaggregating data at points in time and determine, with team members.
Use data to assist with the revisions of interventions, assist with making decisions regarding future instructional strategies and in setting new goals.
Secondary Math Teacher 1.0 FTE
Full-time (1.0 FTE) Secondary Math Teacher at Faribault High School commencing with the 2018-19 school year on August 27, 2018. Course assignments could include Algebra, Geometry and other advanced math courses as assigned.
Full Time (1.0 FTE) Family Consumer Science Teacher – High School
Full-time (1.0 FTE) Secondary Family Consumer Science Teacher at Faribault High School. This position commences with the 2018-2019 school year on August 27, 2018.
Teacher-Options Program
This is a full time teaching position assigned to our Options Program. The Options program will be starting its 9th year and is an opportunity for students to chase their dreams, passions, and potential future careers as we prepare students to be college and career ready. Students and teachers work together in a project based environment to develop learning pathways based on the interests and academic strengths of the students that coincide with our state standards. Students work on projects based on these interests and academic strengths through research, community expert collaborations, and hands on experiences through our local workforce partnerships.
Students also have the ability to create learning opportunities with our community business partners to have hands on career experiences and explorations through our mentorship program. The teacher works with our business partners to develop these mentorship experiences for our students.
