The Educational Assistant assists the classroom teacher with performing duties necessary to meet the educational needs of an individual or group of students.  The Educational Assistant’s primary focus is on directly serving students or in preparation for meeting the students’ needs.

Other Skills & Abilities:
Provide a variety of suggestions in working with students in the classroom setting. Maintain flexibility in day to day dealing with staff and students.  Maintain the confidentiality of all information regarding students.  Perform duties within a tight daily schedule and with an awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.  Ability to deal effectively with students and teachers; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, parents, student and administrators.  Consistent and reliable attendance.

Hours:
5 days per week / 4.5 hours a day / 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Mathematics Teacher – 1.0 FTE

This position is for an ECSE Teacher (ages 0-5). This position predominantly covers ages 3-5; however, ages 0-2 may be included depending on student/family needs. The position performs professional work providing a broad range of consulting, teaching and direct instructional services to children with special needs and their families. Applicants should demonstrate flexibility in providing professional work in a variety of settings; ie. homes, daycares, self-contained preschool classrooms, co-taught preschool classrooms, and community-based preschool environments. The ECSE teacher often provides oversight of a classroom paraprofessional(s), and networks closely with all related services professionals including community agencies. The position includes all duties of an ECSE teacher, including special education evaluations and ongoing assessments; training will be provided as needed. FTE/Schedule: 1.0 FTE

Early Childhood Special Education Paraprofessional – Part Time

The Special Education Paraprofessional assists the classroom teacher with performing duties necessary to meet the educational, personal, physical, and behavior needs of an individual or group of special education students.  The Special Education Paraprofessional’s primary focus in on directly serving students or in preparation for meeting the student’s needs.

Schedule:
5 days per week / 3 hours per day / 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Temporary position through the remainder of the 2017-2018 school year.

Elementary Instructional Coaches

Essential Responsibilities:
–        Engage in job-embedded coaching with teachers in the area of curriculum, instruction, and assessment with a focus on integrating innovative instructional practices into daily instruction
–        Collaborate on the design, implementation, and facilitation of professional learning around innovative instructional strategies
–        Build capacity and leadership in other staff through consultation, collaboration, direct instruction, and job embedded coaching through a growth mindset
–        Demonstrate willingness to assume a leadership position by facilitating professional collaborative groups among teachers and coaches focusing on continuous improvement
–        Work positively toward meeting identified district and building improvement goals
–        Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in equity and culturally responsive teaching practices
–        Develop and maintain a confidential, collegial relationship with teachers while working collaboratively and collegially with other instructional, building, and district leadership
–        Assist teachers in obtaining resources to support instructional and professional learning
–        Participate in regular professional development to improve knowledge, skills, instructional coaching in literacy, math, STEM, and supporting the work of technology integration
–        Work collaboratively with teachers and administrators to focus on reflective dialog that drive instructional decisions and improves student achievement
–        Provide leadership in assessment to ensure classroom assessments are aligned with standards, curriculum, and instructional priorities
–        Assist with analyzing and interpreting data for promoting instructional improvement, improving student learning, and assisting in individual or district-wide staff development
–        Provide leadership with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support
–        Assist building principals in providing leadership for the Professional Learning Community (PLC)
–        Serve as a member of the School Leadership Team, Problem Solving Team, Staff Development Committee, and assist in other leadership roles
