Owatonna Fishing Team
Owatonna Community Education is seeking a Head Coach, Volunteer Assistant Coaches, Volunteer Boat Captains and general volunteers to assist with the development of a Fishing Team for grades 7-12.
* Head Coach is responsible for primary skill development, safety and communication of the Fishing Team ($1,400 Stipend).
* Volunteer Assistant Coaches will be assigned tasks by the head coach involving developing recreational and competitive fishing skills.
* Volunteer Boat Captains take student anglers to compete in approved tournaments.
* General Volunteers will be needed for assorted assignments at the direction of the Head Coach or Owatonna Community Education.
Special Education Paraprofessional
Position Summary:
The Special Education Paraprofessional assists the classroom teacher with performing duties necessary to meet the educational, personal, physical, and behavior needs of an individual or group of special education students. The Special Education Paraprofessional’s primary focus in on directly serving students or in preparation for meeting the student’s needs.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Provide a variety of suggestions for working with students in the special education setting. Maintain flexibility in day to day dealing with staff and students. Maintain the confidentiality of all information regarding students. Perform duties within a tight daily schedule and with an awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
Schedule:
5 days per week / 6.5 hours per day / 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM

Nutrition Services Coordinator
Under the supervision and oversight of the Director of Nutrition Services, the Nutrition Services Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and providing production assistance of kitchen operations to ensure National School Lunch and Breakfast Program compliance with USDA regulations and maximum operational efficiency. The NS Coordinator conducts technical and administrative duties in support of the district’s daily food service activities, such as menu planning and nutrient analysis, oversight and management of computerized inventory and ordering system, and management of students with special dietary needs. The NS Coordinator assists in the recruitment, hiring and training of staff.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to safely lift up to 40 pounds.
Schedule:
52 weeks per year / 5 days per week / 8 hours per day / 7:00 AM – 3:30PM
Director of Activities
The Activities Director coordinates a comprehensive high school student activities program to include athletics and all other student activities; provides effective leadership that will ensure a positive learning environment and will stress the importance of academic achievement; provides support to middle school activities; and provides assistance to the high school principal in the operation of a total school program.

Candidate must be able to demonstrate effective written and oral communication, leadership of diverse groups, prioritize workload and work with little supervision. Comprehensive knowledge of the policies, practices, methods and techniques used in the administration and supervision of a school and all student activities; thorough knowledge of prescribed school board and Minnesota State High School League policies and procedures; thorough skill in the use of personal computers and related software packages, hardware and peripheral equipment; thorough skills in outstanding leadership and personal characteristics; ability to motivate others to reach their fullest potential; ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals; ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages; ability to understand and apply governmental accounting practices in maintenance of financial records; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, coaches and advisors, parents, staff, associates, the School Board, Minnesota State High School League, elected officials, sports officials, superintendent and the general public.
