Mail Courier Substitute

Position Summary:
This position is a substitute position on an as needed basis. This position is responsible for the picking up, sorting and timely delivery of all mail, magazines and, parcels from the post office, watching for time sensitive materials such as live organisms, next day air, and express mailings, UPS, Fed Ex est. to be delivered twice a day.  Responsible to keep log book of tracking codes on UPS and Fed Ex.  Responsible for all regular, certified, and international mailings going out to make sure they have the correct postage by weight, countries, return receipt’s, customs forms filled out and attached, correct insurance depending on weight and destination.  Responsible for logging all money bags from individual schools, make deliveries to appropriate banks, pickup and sign for all bags and, return to schools.  Make special deliveries to other destinations other than schools, banks and, post office.

Other Skills & Abilities:
Must have a valid Minnesota Driver’s License and, maintain a good driving record.

Substitute Teacher

The Minnesota Correctional Facility-Faribault has an opening for a Substitute Teacher, job posting #19331.

WORK SCHEDULE: This position will be on-call Monday through Friday as needed.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

-Provide appropriate and effective classroom instruction in an individualized manner to offenders including preparing, maintaining, and assessing Personal Education Plans (PEP) for each student in the absence of the teacher.

-Tutor individual students and small groups in Literacy, ABE, or GED programs.

-Perform departmental administrative support.

This position is located at a Minnesota Correctional Facility and will have direct offender contact.

English Language Learner (EL) Teacher – Long Term Substitute

Provide instruction to identified students and serve as a collaborative member of our English Language Learner (EL) Team. Position follows a co-teaching model, with EL Teacher & Classroom Teacher working in collaboration to meet students’ needs in the areas of literacy and math.  Candidate will collaborate with teacher(s) prior to assignment.

Site Kitchen Head Cook

Provide the day-to-day coordination of the meal service programs in accordance with USDA Child Nutrition Program guidelines for Lincoln Elementary School.  Daily duties include food production, meal service, clean-up, and maintenance of records and schedules associated with the site meal programs and district special function activities.  Ensure proper sanitation, safety procedures, and regulations are in place and followed (HACCP).  Organize and coordinate all food and supply orders for site kitchen, and submit using a computerized food service management system.  Operate computerized point-of-sale program for meal service.  Participate in Nutrition Services professional development activities as scheduled.

Other Skills and Abilities:
Minnesota Food Manager Certification obtained within six months of employment.  Certification with the School Nutrition Association at Level 1 within one year from date of employment and Level 2 Certification within three years of employment.   Previous food service experience required, preferably school food service or other institutional food service operations.  Experience should include managing inventory, ordering, food production, and record keeping.  Supervision, time management, and organization skills required as related to quantity food service operations.  Ability to lead others and communicate effectively.  Basic math skills including computer applications experience and familiarity with computerized food service management information systems required.

Schedule:
~185 days per year / 5 days per week / 7.0 hours per day / 6:30 AM – 1:30 PM

 

Achievement Interventionist Teacher – Long Term Substitute

The Teacher performs difficult professional work providing a broad range of teaching and direct instructional services or specific learning programs within District curriculum guidelines, assisting students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed as a foundation for future learning in accordance with each student’s ability, using a variety of teaching and learning methods at various levels to a targeted audience, and related work as apparent or assigned.

FTE/Schedule:
0.5 FTE
Long Term Substitute position for approximately April 4, 2018 – May 16, 2018.

Outreach Spanish Liaison/Success Coach-EA

The Family Outreach Liaison/Success Coach is responsible for working with target populations of students in the assigned school to help ensure student success and eventual student graduation.  He/she will work with the staff in the building to identify areas of concern and work with families to help address these areas.  This may involve home visits at times that are convenient for the family.   The liaison may also work with outside agencies to provide needed support.  He/she may work to help the student participate in co-curricular activities that interests the student.  For high school students, the incumbent will help student and family help plan for life after graduation, including college and career readiness.

 

Other Skills and Abilities:
Provide a variety of suggestions in working with families and students. Maintain flexibility in day to day dealing with staff, students, and parents. Maintain the confidentiality of all information regarding students. Perform duties within a tight daily schedule and with an awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.  Consistent and reliable attendance.

Schedule:
5 days per week / 7.5 hours per day / 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
