The position of Associate Principal is an entry level, training based position. An individual must have a current principal license to be eligible for the position. These positions are intended to provide experience and mentoring to individuals aspiring to be assistant principals and principals in the district. Job Summary: Maintain a safe and welcoming learning environment where all individuals are respected. Conducts classroom observations and evaluates the effectiveness of teachers and staff. Assist in development of policies and procedures dealing with behavior management, and parent/student/teacher issues. Investigate student discipline referrals and develop appropriate consequences based on building wide behavioral expectations. Maintain appropriate communication with students, staff and parents. Monitoring student database, attendance procedures and records, including tardiness and filing and monitoring of truancy petitions. Monitoring of grade reporting procedures and maintenance of student records. Coordination of student activity programs with faculty advisors. Recruitment, interviewing, and selection processes for building level personnel. Public relations and communication including orientation, newsletters, and school events Coordinates and supervises student use of cafeteria, lockers, lavatories, bus transportation, and related issues. Supervises school-related evening activities. Attend special education meetings. Serves with parents, faculty and student groups in advancing educational and related activities and objectives. Provides supervision to paraprofessionals responsible for building/campus supervision. Performs other tasks and assumes responsibilities as assigned by the building principal/assistant principal.
Registered Nurse to teach Certified Nursing Assistant and Health Sciences Classes
Job Summary: Rochester Public Schools is seeking a Registered Nurse to teach the Certified Nursing Assistant course at the Career and Technical Education Center at Heintz (CTECH). CTECH is a positive learning environment with teachers from a variety of technical fields. CTECH is designed for high school students interested in a career pathway and is appropriate for both pre-college and pre-technical students. Within the Health Science Career Pathway at CTECH, students learn the industry requirements for a number of careers and fields. The program was developed through partnerships with the Mayo Clinic, Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC), and a strong network of community supporters. The C NA course is one option within this pathway. During this course, the certified instructor prepares students for their clinical experience and to take the written and skills certification through the Minnesota Department of Health for Nursing Assistance and Home Health Aide. Director of Buildings and Grounds
The typical essential duties of the Director of Buildings & Grounds consists of, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Supervises staff to include: prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff are trained; ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures, and maintains a healthy and safe working environment; and, making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations. 2. Oversees the development and implementation of programs, policies and procedures for the department, or as directed by the Superintendent or Board. 3. Contacts vendors and contractors, evaluates the costs of custodial and maintenance supplies, equipment, capital improvements, specifications and services and purchases items as needed; receives board approval when required. 4. Administers and monitors the departmental budget including allocating resources and approving expenditures. 5. Administers the preventative maintenance programs. 6. Inspects and manages facilities, systems and contracted work for compliance with policies, procedures and specifications. 7. Develops, coordinates, and implements safety programs for the District. 8.
