High School Assistant Principal
Essential Functions: The Assistant Principal assists the Principal in leading the school’s educational and instructional programs, operations, and personnel to ensure the educational, emotional, social, and physical needs of all students. In addition they assist with the following duties: – Development of building policies and procedures dealing with behavior management, and parent/student/teacher issues. – Development of the building of the Master Schedule, Registration, determining assignment of teachers, students and locations. – Coordination and monitoring of student database, attendance procedures and records. – Foster high school achievement through coordination and supervision of student personnel services to ensure student’s educational needs are met. – Supervision and evaluation of professional staff. – Coordination & monitoring of grade reporting procedures and maintenance of student records. – Resolve operational problems of the school in the absence of the Principal. – Integral member of the district leadership team serving on district and community committees. – Perform related duties as apparent or assigned. – Assists with hiring and evaluations of licensed staff. – Familiar with the AVID system This position with the Faribault Public Schools commences on July 1, 2017.
