The typical essential duties of the Director of Buildings & Grounds consists of, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Supervises staff to include: prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff are trained; ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures, and maintains a healthy and safe working environment; and, making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations. 2. Oversees the development and implementation of programs, policies and procedures for the department, or as directed by the Superintendent or Board. 3. Contacts vendors and contractors, evaluates the costs of custodial and maintenance supplies, equipment, capital improvements, specifications and services and purchases items as needed; receives board approval when required. 4. Administers and monitors the departmental budget including allocating resources and approving expenditures. 5. Administers the preventative maintenance programs. 6. Inspects and manages facilities, systems and contracted work for compliance with policies, procedures and specifications. 7. Develops, coordinates, and implements safety programs for the District. 8. Dean of Students/Program Coordinator
Summary of Job Duties: This position will oversee the 9th Grade Academy at Faribault High School and will be in charge of 9th grade student management. Selected individual will observe and interact with individuals, groups, and communities to assist with the healthy functioning of the students in the Academy. The candidate selected for this position works with the principal and other support personnel in order to build positive relationships with stakeholders, collaborate and communicate effectively through a variety of methods, provide leadership of behavior management and supervision; facilitate the resolution of conflict; plan, organize and manage time and resources. Academic Interventionist
Summary of Job Duties: The Academic Interventionist will work within the 9th Grade Academy at Faribault High School. The interventionist’s primary purpose is to improve the academic achievement of all students. The interventionist will provide assistance to classroom teachers within the 9th Grade Academy in implementing interventions and teaching classes. Three classes per day will be spent in the Academy setting working with students and teachers, two classes per day will be spent tracking attendance and ILP’s for Academy students. Essential Functions: -Serve as a member of the 9th Grade Academy team -Create, Implement, and Monitor student ILPs -Co-Teach within Faribault’s 9th Grade Academy -Collaborate with other teachers in a team environment -Monitor and communicate student progress with students, families, administrators, and staff -Help students work towards positive citizenship in the school and improving their academic skills -Monitor student attendance and communicate with parents as necessary -Stay current with current best practices research and strategies
Behavior Intervention Coordinator
Summary of Job Duties: Performs intermediate human support work helping coordinate a positive behavior intervention plan that addresses students behaviors and provide a means to help the students become more academically successful. The Behavior Intervention Specialist also provides classroom and school-wide behavior management strategies drawing on multiple disciplines, including community health, social work, psychology, counseling and education. Interventionist will observe and interact with individuals and groups to assist with the healthy functioning of the students. Interventionists will focus on specific behaviors impacting the students or classrooms, and related work as apparent or assigned.
